4/2/2014  Representative Members appointed to the Appraisal Subcommittee Advisory Committee for Development of Regulations
The Appraisal Subcommittee has named the following persons to serve as Representative Members on the AppraisalSubcommittee Advisory Committee for Development of Regulations.
4/1/2014  ASC Advisory Committee Meeting to be held on April 16-17, 2014
The ASC Advisory Committee for the Development of Regulations will hold its first Meeting on April 16-17, 2014 in Washington, DC.  The Meeting will be held at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency located at 400 7th Street SW.  On Wednesday, April 16, the Meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.  On Thursday, April 17, the Meeting will start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.  All times are in the Eastern time zone.  The agenda for the Meeting can be found at this link.  Procedures for attendance and Public comment can be found here in the March 31, 2014 Federal Register notice under Supplementary Information.
2/21/2014  ASC Advisory Committee Charter and Balanced Membership Plan
At its February 12, 2014 Meeting, the ASC approved the ASC Advisory Committee Charter and the Balanced Membership Plan.  The Charter can be found here and the Balanced Membership Plan can be found here.
2/14/2014  ASC Rules of Operation - Revised
On February 12th, the ASC approved revisions to Section 3.06(e) of the ASC Rules of Operation to denote that ASC Meetings will be held at least once every two months (bi-monthly) rather than monthly.  This change is effective immediately.  The revised ASC Rules of Operation can be found here.

6/6/2013  ASC Revised Policy Statements

3/15/2013  Appraisal Complaint National Hotline Operational
The Appraisal Complaint National Hotline (Hotline) began operation on March 15, 2013.  The Hotline is required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Hotline refers complainants to appropriate State and/or Federal agencies to handle complaints of alleged violations of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and/or appraisal independence requirements. The Hotline is available at  http://ReferMyAppraisalComplaint.ASC.gov, or 877-739-0096.

Comments received on the Proposed Revisions to the ASC Policy Statements can be found on the ASC website under Federal Register Documents. Comments will be updated on a weekly basis. They can also be found under docket number ASC-2012-008 on www.regulations.gov.
4/9/2012  Update on Georgia's Real Estate Appraiser Credential Numbers
The Georgia real estate appraiser program updated their real estate appraiser credential numbers on the ASC National Registry to reflect what is printed on the appraiser’s paper credentials.

10/6/2011  Update on Wisconsin Real Estate Appraiser Credential Numbers
The Wisconsin Real Estate Appraiser Program updated their real estate appraiser credential numbers on the ASC National Registry to reflect what is printed on the appraiser’s paper credentials.
